The Faculty of Humanities invites outstanding candidates to apply for tenure-track positions in Biblical Archaeology

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank) in the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, with a specialization in the Archaeology of the Southern Levant in the Bronze and Iron Ages. The position is open to all candidates who have attained a Ph.D. degree and to advanced doctoral students who expect to be granted their Ph.D. no later than June 30, 2025.

Obituary Notice - Vivian Silver

The Institute of Archaeology is sad to announce the death of Vivian Silver, who was murdered at her house at Kibbutz Be'eri on October 7th. 

Vivian, a peace activist, the founder of Women Wage Peace and Ajeec Nisped, is the mother of Chen Zeigen, a member of our community and a doctoral student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Connecticut.

We send our deepest condolences to Chen and the entire family.
