M.A. thesis topic: Roman Galilee stone vessels.

Advisor: Prof. Zeev Weiss

Abstract:

Stone vessels from the Roman period are known mostly from the Jerusalem region. Over the last two decades the excavations at Sepphoris yielded a large number of stone vessels, the largest assemblage in the Galilee. My work includes publishing this assemblage through which I hope to investigate the stone vessels industry and use in the region and hopefully to shed light on accompanying issues such as the vessels' chronology, distribution and origin.
