Born in 1962, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In Israel since 1980.

Education


1981-1985 B.A. Degree, Archaeology and Art History, Faculty of Humanities. Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
1990-2000 M.A. Degree, Art History, Faculty of Humanities. Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
M.A. dissertation: "The Foundation of Tyre and its beginnings as represented in the Roman coins from the city".
2006 - Ph. D. student, Archaeology and Art History, Faculty of Humanities. Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
Ph.D. dissertation: "The Monetary Circulation in Palestine during the Byzantine Period (fifth - seventh centuries CE)".

1983-1987 Assistant of Prof. Ya'akov Meshorer , Curator of Coins, Israel Museum, Bronfman dept. Jerusalem, Israel
  • Identification and registration of coins and numismatic collections in the museum.
1984-1991 Index of Jewish Art, the Center for Jewish Art, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel
  • Registration of architectural sculpture and mosaics from ancient synagogues, ossuaries, oil lamps.
  • Registration of ancient Jewish coins.
  • Computerization of the Index of Jewish Art.
Since 1991 Curator at the Coin Department, National Treasures, Israel Antiquities Authority, Jerusalem, Israel
  • Identification, classification and computerized registration of coins discovered in excavations in Israel and the Staff Officer of Archaeology-Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria.
  • Study and research of the coin finds and their final publication (see attached list of publications).
  • Curatorial numismatic services to scholars, researchers and museums for exhibitions in Israel and abroad.

  • January-October 2003: Gold from Israel: A Hoard of Byzantine Solidi from Bet She'an. Federal Reserve Bank of New York, USA (in collaboration with the American Numismatic Society, NY).
  • September - 2005: "Expressions of Government on Jewish Coins" Beth haNassi, (the House of the President of Israel). Coin exhibition.
